A tribute to the best

Well tomorrow marks the one year anniversary that we lost our baby boy.  Bronco "the boy" Black.  He was born June 6th 2001.  We brought him home late July of 2001.  From that point on he was our baby.  Slept in our bed, on the couch, went on rides with Cody.  In fact for a period of time he even went to work with Cody every day.  He was the best dog ever.  He loved everyone he came across.  Visitors were greeted with excessive love, which always included "kidney beaning", licks, jumping and then sometimes just plain sitting on! He had full reign of our house.  We got a doggy door for the patio door so he could come in and out as he pleased.  Mostly he liked it in the house, or just wherever we were at. He was a magnificent dog.  I still miss him as much as I did the day he died.  Which brings me to the story of that day.  I was working every day at the shop for Cody and was VERY heavy with child.  I came home from work and getting Asa from the sitter around 5-6 pm and found that he had passed away unexpectedly.  Talk about traumatic.  I don't know that I've ever cried so hysterically.  It was so sad Cody couldn't even bury him that day.  So we waited until the next morning and buried him in a nice peaceful place in the yard in front. Every night Cody would run out there with Asa and say goodnight to him.  Asa still knows where Bronco is.  And sometimes he even still says hi.  Bronco was one of the first words Asa said.  And every dog and 4-legged creature was Bronco.  Even Lexi was Bronco, until he died, and then Asa had to figure out how to say Lexi.  Here's my tribute to the best.

Remember when.....

Remember When...

Okay here's the rules...
1. Post a comment on my blog of a memory you and I had together. just anything funny or interesting or just whatever!
2.  Repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you are playing and leave one on your blog for you

Happy Birthday to me....

Happy Birthday TO me....Happy birthday to me-e-e-e-e....Happy Birthday to me.

Well everyone knows I can't stand a surprise.  So I ordered a camera for my birthday (which is on Sunday).  I haven't had a new camera since I first was selling real estate like 4 years ago!  I know camera's used to last for ever, but now they don't.  I was tired of missing cute shots of my kids because my dumb camera wouldn't focus without the flash on, and when it was on I couldn't get good pic's because the flash washed them out! So I got a "mega-zoom" style camera.  A cross between point and shoot and DSLR.  I could not be happier.  Wait a second....am I writing some sort of a review on the camera here???!!  Ok sorry.  I am just so excited at the possibilities of being able to take great pic's of my kiddos!  This shot I am uploading is a picture I took of the neighbors trees. I was sitting on the floor in the front room and I zoomed probably 100+ ft to get this pic. LOVE IT!

Summer Fun

All last week I had my back east family here with us.  Which was, My Aunt Jacqui, Uncle Marc, Cousin Becca & her daughter, & Grandpa Lavers.  My cousin, who is he daughter of above mentioned Aunt & Uncle graduated from BYU.  So they all came out for the occasion.  My Sister in law, Tiffiny, came down on Friday the 15th to hang with the out of towners and play.  Asa and Jada (my Neice) came up with this hanging  upside down thing all on their own!

For some reason our front sprinklers were on all day.  So Jada and Asa had fun playing in it...then migrated over to the rocks.
Yes again my son is not dressed...but at least he's not totally nekked.
Some sorry sap (my uncle) got roped into throwing the ball to Lexi.  She was having so much fun with it.  You can see the motion really well (aka blurry picture) in this one.  This was a perfectly good ball till she got ahold of it too.
I had to snap a picture of Asa in his underwear on the trike.  I have a picture just like this when I was about his age!

Corn boys

My silly boys eat raw corn, thanks to their papa Tom, who is a "Raw Food-ist".  Which means that he only eats raw food, and no he doesn't eat meat!

My poor dog hoping she'll get some.  Yes this picture was taken in the evening and my boys weren't dressed yet for the day.  Some days we just don't get dressed!
